Emerging Leaders MBA Scholarships At University of Sydney Business School 2016

The University of Sydney Business School and the Australian Financial Review (AFR) are inviting applications for Emerging Leaders Scholarship. These scholarships are open to Australian and New Zealand citizens for pursuing MBA programme.

The Emerging Leaders Scholarship is dedicated to the MBA program and seeks to identify and engage eligible top candidates based on merit, with a focus on academic achievement and business leadership potential.

The University of Sydney is an Australian public research university in Sydney. It is Australia’s first university and is regarded as one of its most prestigious, ranked as the world’s 27th most reputable university.

Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing MBA program.

Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded in the field of business administration.

Scholarship Award: The scholarship covers full tuition fees for the duration of the MBA program and is tenable for up to three years in part-time study (1.5 years full-time equivalent). The recipient must maintain a minimum enrolment load of one unit of study each semester. The scholarship will be provided as an offset to student’s tuition fee following census dates each session. All recipients receiving this award are required to pay their Student Services and Amenities fee.

Scholarship can be taken in Australia

Eligibility: Open to applicants who meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the degree, Master of Business Administration. Applicants with Australian citizenship, Australian permanent residency or New Zealand citizenship are eligible for admission to the Master of Business Administration. The degree is currently not available to international students studying on a student visa. Employees of the University of Sydney, partners of the promotion and those involved in the selection process are ineligible to apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: A bachelor’s degree, graduate diploma or other AQF Level 7 qualification with a minimum credit (65%) average, or equivalent at an institution approved by the School and at a standard acceptable to the School (with original transcript to be submitted at, or prior, to interview), with:

  • At least 3 years work experience and experience in a management position;
  • A Statement of Motivation; a one-page statement of motivation outlining what the applicant hopes to achieve professionally and personally by completing The University of Sydney MBA;
  • A selection interview establishing the candidate’s suitability for the degree.

How to Apply: Applicants should complete their application online. In order to complete application online students will need the following documentation:

  • Applicant’s Academic Qualification details, e.g. completion year and grade average (original or certified documents only required at our interview stage)
  • Applicant’s Employment History/Professional details
  • A one-page Statement of Motivation outlining what you hope to achieve professionally and personally by completing The University of Sydney MBA. Please upload this document where it requests Supplementary forms (immediately after the request for transcripts)
